When I started this project I knew that I wanted this room to be light, calm, and feminine.
I did, however, know that I wanted to go in the opposite direction.
No dark walls, no dark fabrics.
So since I didn't really have a vision for this room, I did what I always do for inspiration---
I went to the local fabric store.
I found this fabric and fell in love.
I knew that I wanted this as the main accent fabric.
(I used it for the Euro shams and plan to use it for the shade on the window.)
I didn't really have a plan, though.
I had decorated our other guest bedroom with masculine elements.I did, however, know that I wanted to go in the opposite direction.

We decided on a fabric covered headboard. My husband and I made this headboard and covered it in this gorgeous orange fabric with bronze nail heads. (The entire headboard project came in around $50.00--can you believe it!!)
I added other colors that I love for the room, including greens, blues, creams, and metallics.
I still have a few things to do to finish this room---a roman shade, curtain panels, and a few other pieces of art.
Hopefully all sooner rather than later.
